As the co-founder, co-owner, and artistic director of the cultural phenomenon Rogue Status, Rex Holloway has skyrocketed to the forefront of graphic and fashion design. With some of the strongest typography found in contemporary fashion and design in general, Rogue Status makes no apologies and asks for no forgiveness; their collaborative work is offensive to some, but beautiful to all. If their artwork isn’t incentive enough, all profits from the clothing sales benefit American soldiers and fund soldier communications to their families overseas. A noble endeavor, if you ask us…
Established by Johan Esbensen, Rob Dyrdek, and Rex Holloway in 2005, Rogue Status has been metaphorically pushing the envelope in a variety of design-heavy industries, including fashion, branding, and sports. With skate and motocross teams that include superstars such as Matt Lemond, 007, Jeremiah Bohnet, Devin Abner, Blake Johnson, Eugene Harris, Lamonzo Colemen, OlanPrenatt, Ken Gushi, Tanner Foust, and Richard Massie, Rex Holloway and Rogue Status has leveraged their graphic design clout to brand some of the up-and-coming extreme sports personalities. Rex has also played a crucial role in Rogue Status’ entry into the Gumball 3000 rally race.
With the visibility garnered by the recent explosion of media personality Rob Dyrdek, Rex and Rogue Status have positioned themselves for success. Rex and Rogue Status can be found on Twitter, but make sure to check out their website for a glimpse at their gamut of design skills. And remember….don’t trust anyone.
