Domenic Fiorello

Ballista Magazine is back!  After a long holiday weekend full of fireworks, food, and fun, we are back to the grind with another Featured Face for your post-holiday enjoyment!  On the day after our Independence Day, Ballista Magazine thought it would be fitting to feature a stateside designer, Mr. Domenic Fiorelli of Rochester, NY!

Originally hailing from Ohio but currently stationed in Rochester, Domenic Fiorelli is a “furniture designer and maker” with a love for simple and beautiful objects.  As a 2011 graduate of the Rochester Institute of Technology with a degree in Woodworking and Furniture Design, Domenic is a young but visible talent — along with his multiple student awards and scholarships, Domenic has also graced the pages of industry publications including Better Homes and Gardens (China), AWM Magazine (the Netherlands), and Contemporist.  Domenic’s “Plant Pods” have been the subject of a great deal of recent acclaim, which function as individual planters designed to hang vertically on interior walls.  The project is an excellent way to spruce up (no pun intended) interiors with vegetation, presented with a minimal and contemporary approach.
