I am from Evansville, IN, and started my college career in nursing at the University of Southern Indiana. I quickly realized nursing was not for me. What was for me was studying something I always considered a hobby: interior design. After finding a program that fit my interests, I transferred to Purdue University within two weeks of classes starting in the Fall of 2007. There I gained basic skills in drawing and hand-rendering, space planning, building codes, and multiple design computer programs to complete entire design projects. During the summer of 2010, I completed two internships, one with the architect for the University of Southern Indiana and the other with a commercial interior design firm, Y Factor Studio. I recently got married on January 1, 2011, graduated from Purdue in May of 2011, and I am still living in Lafayette, Indiana.
Bilhuber and Associates skillfully combine contemporary and traditional aesthetics in their interior designs, and the firm was also recently featured in Architectural Digest. This feature caught the eye of contributing author, Johannah McDaniel.
