John Rizor

Chicago, Illinois

After leaving my native state and hometown of Ann Arbor, I spent six years working toward my Master's Degree in Architecture from Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana. During that time, I had brief academic architectural internships with a variety of design firms including Lake | Flato Architects (San Antonio, TX), Gensler (Chicago, IL), and Cordogan, Clark, and Associates (Aurora, IL). While my base is in architectural design, I have since spent some time in the fields of real estate, project management for a general contractor in Chicago, and entrepreneurial endeavors such as RmprStmpr and our current host Ballista Magazine --- I enjoy the challenge of new undertakings and view every day as a progression of skills in these parallel industries. I am comfortable and continuously honing my craft in architecture, graphic design, painting, and pretty much anything else design-related! I am still discovering my personal style, but it is substantially more difficult to define when my work is admittedly schizophrenic and spans a variety of mediums and industries.
