At 11:59pm on August 5th, the submission period closed for Ballista Magazine‘s inaugural design competition, the Summer Camp Extravaganza Competition sponsored by Ponoko. After review of the competition entries, Jee Yeon Bundy’s Modern Bird House and Bird Feeder entry has been named the grand prize winner!
A current resident of Penfield, NY, Jee has a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Industrial Design from the College for Creative Studies in Detroit, MI. During her time at CCS, Jee also minored in Crafts (aptly educated for this particular competition), which is abundantly evident in the composition and detailing of his modern bird-feeder and bird house duo. Jee’s approach, concept, and execution of these crafts in coordination with the Ponoko making system was a beautiful product that fell perfectly in line with the competition description.
We at Ballista Magazine would like to thank each and every one of our applicants for their individual contributions toward a very successful inaugural competition. We would also like to extend a sincere thank you to our friends at Ponoko for sponsoring and promoting the competition — your support was vital to the success of the competition and it was very much appreciated. As promised within the competition description, Jee will be receiving exposure on Ballista Magazine as Featured Face, a $50 gift voucher from Ponoko, and an assortment of Ballista Swag, so make sure to check back in the next couple of days to see more of Jee’s work. In the meantime, quell your design thirst by perusing Jee’s personal website!
